CNC Machined Prototypes

Having CNC machining on site enables us to machine conceptual models in blue expanded polystyrene, first offs in blue machinable wax from the CAD data. These material are great for machining very quickly and for testing machining programs to get the most cost effective surface finish requirement.

From here we can progress to machining in high performance polymers.

Liquid Silicone Rubber Mould Resin Cast Prototypes

We are developing in house our own Liquid Silicone Rubber Moulding Process. We take the machined wax model as machined or polished and use it as the master part to produce a very high quality negative silicone rubber mould. The mould will produce dimensionally stable prototypes that are tolerant to the rigours of handling. Able to replicate complex shapes, fine detail, textures and colours in small batches. The advantage of polyeurethane resins is that it is formulated with different properties such as hardness, strength, colours, resilience and food use to simulate other injection moulded polymers.

The Liquid Silicone Rubber mould will reproduce very fine details, including any flaws and scratches on the master part.
